Mission

Creating an inclusive space for the younger generation to advance music learning and participation opportunities for newcomer disadvantaged young people.

Vision

Equality, diversity, inclusion, and creative rights are the cornerstones of all our engagement with newcomer young people and the community. Our aim is to bridge the gap and increase accessibility for young people from diverse ethnic background to learn music and enjoy music making.

Like any movement, we’re all about making noise. Literally. We believe that music has the power to inspire. To be a medium that allows us to control and express our thoughts and feelings. To grow and provide a community that welcomes diversity and can handle adversity. Who understand the struggles of starting afresh in a new place — as well as how to navigate them.

Our main aim is to guide people down a path of musical discovery. We want everyone to march to the beat of their own drum, but an orchestra requires more than just a percussionist — it needs a whole host of instruments and musicians to make a cohesive sound.

Music is a universal language, but instead of words, we’re expressing sounds. The creator and the listener engage in an intuitive conversation where emotions are understood and exchanged. Happiness, sadness, loneliness and excitement are all conveyed through sound and where words fail, music speaks.

Music can be a portal to realities and communities that may not have been accessible otherwise. We believe in the magic of music.

We believe that music can have a dramatic impact on improving an individual’s mental health and that it provides a creative output for people who have trouble verbalising their emotions. Simply, music unites people who may never have engaged otherwise.

So now that you’re versed in the power of music are you ready to listen to our mission?
