ZESTIVAL 2022

Live Variety Show
In aid of music opportunities for newcomers to Northern Ireland

This summer ZAC’s Music Movement are bringing you ZESTIVAL, a live variety show on the 28th of August 2022!

This is an unmissable entertainment event filled with music, comedy, dance, and drag — treating all who attend with laughs, fun, and a perfect way to enjoy the August bank holiday weekend.

Proceeds from Zestival will go towards creating music learning opportunities amongst newly settled young people from Ukraine and other countries, in Northern Ireland.

Zestival is organised by ZAC’s Music Movement; an organisation focused on promoting the power of music to assist disadvantaged, newcomer young people to participate in music making while having the opportunity to learn and share their creative talent.

Zestival allows all of us to show our compassion and commitment to upholding the UNICEF’s Children's rights; They are Non-discrimination (Article 2), Best interest of the child (Article 3) and Right to life survival and development (Article 6). All children have economic, social, and cultural rights which includes their right to education, the right to a decent standard of living, the right to health, including play and recreation and to be protected from abuse and harm.

This has been made possible by generous sponsors and all the Zestival performers and organisers who are offering their time totally free, allowing 100% of funds raised to go towards music learning and making bursaries for this 11+ age group of young people whose lives have been changed forever due to facing incredible situations beyond their control.

Farah Chowdhury, Co-founder of ZAC’s Music Movement said, “We are delighted to be hosting our first live event as a new, local organisation in Northern Ireland. I am grateful to all the sponsors, organisers and our fantastic performers who are generously giving their time and talents to bring such a special event together, all with one shared purpose of bringing music opportunities to those young people settled in our wee country, where those opportunities may have lessened through the hardship of resettlement.

Steven Donnelly, Lucky Cat Events said, The Zestival event highlights the positive influence of music on our mental health and the development of this amongst talented newcomers will not only offer hope, but the potential for them to develop careers in the arts and creative sector in NI

The Zestival live variety event will take place on 28th of August 2022 from 6pm at The Deer’s Head, 1 – 3 Lower Garfield St, Belfast, BT1 1FP.
